LEARNING AND GROWTH RIGHT OUT OF THE GATE

LEARNING AND GROWTH RIGHT OUT OF THE GATE

At OTG, we’re growing fast and are committed to your development from day one. We listen to crewmember feedback at all levels and offer ongoing support to help you grow into the role and career path that fits you best.

A Great Place to Grow

A unique look at various careers with OTG through ‘A Day in the Life’ interviews with our Crewmembers

Getting on
Board

All crewmembers, including managers, start their OTG journey with a one-day orientation session to learn about company history, values, and policies. Food and alcohol safety certification is provided, along with a variety of additional training, from cyber-security to workplace harassment prevention.

Building Your Flight Plan

The rest of your first week focuses on setting your Flight Plan—OTG’s signature, self-paced development program for hourly roles. Each module builds key skills and is overseen by a manager who checks for understanding and application.

As you grow, you’ll unlock additional modules to move into roles like server, bartender, or Manager-in-Training. After one year, crewmembers in good standing can apply for new roles via our intranet, though exceptional performance may lead to earlier promotion based on business needs.

Wheels up on growth

OTG University, our learning platform, provides online courses, job aids, and resources to support your growth at every stage. Training begins with core topics like hospitality, fire and life safety, and steps of service, with role-based learning throughout your career.

Each terminal has a Discovery Learning Manager who leads orientation, Flight Plans, and hosts training and development sessions. We offer a six-week Manager-in-Training program, along with leadership development like Evolving Leadership—a 2-day seminar covering communication, emotional intelligence, accountability, and coaching.
