This concept is part of our $120 million renovation at United’s EWR Terminal C Experience. Kaedama is located in the center atrium of our emerging Global Bazaar in Terminal C-1.
Named for the Japanese term for requesting a second serving of noodles, this new concept will make you do just that! With fresh ramen shaking up your dining experience, you’re sure to add an incomparable venture to your #preflight itinerary.
Chefs prepare gourmet selects on an elevated platform so passengers can watch their meals emerge from kitchen to table at the 42-seat, six-point star shaped counter made from modern luxe wood, leather and metal.
Kaedama’s ramen bar features a stunning 40 foot-tall elongated abstracted noodle art installation wrapped with LED media mesh made of over 17,000 lights! A nod to Tokyo’s brightly lit city signage, the noodle-inspired gold tower centerpiece displays an array of custom Japanese-inspired animations that transition throughout the day.
Design partners at Rockwell Group are credited for the look and feel of the concept and have added an element of theater to the dining experience! The United Airlines First Class Lounge located directly above the Global Bazaar has an amazing view of Kaedama’s vibrant light tower, passengers continue to be wowed by it.
