Bringing Bayou Blend to IAH

Introducing Our Partnership with Houston’s Katz Coffee

With each new market we roll out an experience in, we source the finest talent and ingredients each city has to offer. And our coffee program at World Bean is no different.

With OTG Coffee Director Bob Prince at the helm of our coffee program, we can guarantee travelers passing through the best possible, locally-sourced cup – with each market we’re in featuring flavors from local roasters.

Prince’s mantra: “Why not break the mold of coffee here at the airport. That’s just what we want to achieve. That’s what we’re doing.

Enter Katz Coffee.

A Houston, TX based roaster specializing in small-batch, custom roasting, Katz takes great pride in sourcing the finest beans from farmers around the globe. For Katz Coffee, the goal is to achieve perfection in every cup. That commitment starts with sourcing the highest quality “green” beans and the close and careful attention taken in the roasting process.

Katz’s Bayou Blend is richly aromatic, earthy and distinctly lush- much like Houston’s Buffalo Bayou, the fascinating urban greenspace that inspired this coffee and extends from the outskirts of Katy, through downtown Houston and out to the Ship Channel. Bayou Blend delivers a cup of coffee that is smooth in body, with hints of chocolate, dark fruit and citrus.

The Bayou Blend is a part of a community partnership between Katz Coffee and Buffalo Bayou Partnership, through Katz’ Coffee Cause Program. A portion of the proceeds is donated to the Partnership to further their mission of conservation, improvement, and increased community involvement along Buffalo Bayou, including the restoration of the International Coffee Building at historic Allen’s Landing.

Katz Coffee’s Cause program develops community partnerships with non-profit organizations that are closely aligned with their values and mission, learn more here.

Available now in IAH Terminal C-North World Bean locations, Katz Coffee will soon be rolled out through Terminals C-South and E by the end of the year.
